This very simple generator randomly presents phrases from a well-known play, ones that were originally structured in a highly regular way. The output can be read silently, but the reader should at least rock back and forth.

I Dream of Canute (& The Sea is Rising) stretches our perception of time by creating a literary artwork that is formally linked to our planets rising sea levels. This self-destructive poem will play out over the next 100 years, a time period in which it is highly likely that we will experience at least one metre of sea level rise (see Some Notes on Sea Level Rise at: http://stevieronnie.com/idreamofcanute/aboutcanute.html ). As we enter each year, one line of the poem will disappear. Each line therefore represents one centimetre of sea level rise. The poem has been composed in such a way that it can still hang together as a literary artefact, albeit a permanently shifting one, as it shrinks over time.

Round is a computational poem that is both non-interactive and deterministic. It is computational in that computation is an essential aspect of the work, non-interactive because there is no input accepted as the program runs, and deterministic because the text produced should be the same each time on any properly-functioning computer. The poem is also infinite (in the sense of boundless); there is no final line or internally specified condition that will cause the program will stop. Round is not never-ending, since whatever computational resources one has will eventually be exhausted, but there is no pre-set length to the poem. The poem is assembled out of ten fragments, one of which is a newline (line break). The other nine are strings of legible text. Round computes the digits of π, pausing after each digit is computed. (Each time Round is loaded, it begins at 3, continues to 1, continues to 4, and so on.) For each digit computed, the fragment corresponding to that digit is added to the poem. Speeches and Poemas (Félix Remírez, 2006) is a digital bilingual poetry digital book divided into five parts. In the first one, Versos en la arena –Verses in the Sand- the multimedia digital possibilities are used to combine a series of sonnets and poems with the sound and vision of waves dying in the and. In the second, Raining Thoughts, the reader has to interact with a storm to extract its clouds-phrases and thoughts, all between the ambient sound of a storm. The third part, From my lips, is a review of a digital automatic writing that creates grammatically correct texts which do not make real sense. The fourth part, Image and Works, combines images in motion with verses inspired from each of the images. In English and Spanish the reader interacts with the images trying to choose the one that can be more interesting. In the end, La luz de la palabra –The Light of the Word-obliges the reader to find each poem little by little, as if he/she were reading with a candle. The work uses Javascript resources and there is music in each part of it.
