We have questions such as: When we think about hypertext novel, is it only a translation of format? which implications and effects can hypertext fiction have for the literary criticism? Can the critic use only the tools of analysis of the printed text?
Nos preguntamos en este estado de la cuestión: ¿cuando pensamos en la HN, se trata
solamente de un caso de traducción de formato? Y, ¿qué implicaciones y efectos tiene la
HN para la crítica literaria? ¿El crítico puede usar solamente los instrumentos de análisis
del código “escrito” impreso?
This book introduces and defines the new field of digital literature, answering to the question of the introduction of hypertext if it has suposed a reconfiguration of the literary paradigm in all its areas: theoretical, creative and educational. Escritores y profesores como Jordi Carrión, Vicente Luis Mora, Juan Francisco Ferré, Francisca Noguerol y Daniel Mesa firman artículos de este volumen se ocupa de las presencias tecnológicas y mediáticas y sus vínculos con los procesos de desterritorializacion propios de la globalización en la literatura de los últimos veinte años, tratando de confrontar estas presencias con lo que ya es una tradición de narrativas mediáticas o seducidas por los medios en el canon de la literatura latinoamericana.
Inspired from “La Tragedia de Caldesa” by Joan Roís de Corella, Valencian writer of the 15th century. This contemporary tragedy is about the sad love story of four lives in the same night: Joan, Caldesa, Roís and Aurora suffer from love. In this work , the reader is not free to choose what he/she wants to read the moment he/she wants to read it. On the contrary, his/her position is that of a spectator flying over the characters lives and is able to know what happens but he/she cannot stop their lives or delay the events that are told. Trincheras de Mequinenza by Félix Remírez (2007) is an epistolary diary of a Republican soldier during the Ebro War. The work includes multimedia elements -photographies of real facts and landscapes were the conflict took place and songs from that period-and multi-windows in which historical descriptions of facts and biographies of the most important people in the battle appear.
Trincheras de Mequinenza de Félix Remírez (2007) es el diario epistolar de un soldado republicano durante la batalla del Ebro. La obra aúna el texto con elementos multimedia (fotografías de hechos reales y paisajes donde se desarrolló el enfrentamiento así como canciones de la época) y multi-ventanas en las que van apareciendo descripciones históricas de los hechos y biografías de las personas más relevantes de la batalla.
The series of projects called Insertados en Tiempo real (Inserted in Real Time), began in 2001. These projects raise the question of the definition of art and the limits between a performance and a real-life situation. The name "inserted" translates the intention these works have of interrupting, questioning or twisting real situations in real time. All inserted were played by actors (professional or non-professional, actors in the sense that they act following certain instructions) and function in several contexts, not necessarily art exhibition contexts (Source: Collection FracLorraine).
Las series de proyectos de Insertos en Tiempo Real comenzaron en el 2001, en este conjunto de proyectos se cuestiona la definición del arte y los límites entre performance y situación en tiempo real. El nombre insertos se refiere a la intención de estas obras de interrumpir, cuestionar e invertir las situaciones reales en tiempo real. In the Website the author comments that once a man or a woman has read aloud the stories published there he or she will have read all the stories in the world. It is interesting because the stories, which are only two lines stories, a sort of Flash fiction, are very familiar to anyone, realistic, humoristic and sometimes dark stories.
En la web la autora comenta que una vez que un hombre o una mujer haya leído las historias en alto publicadas en esa web habrá leído todas las historias del mundo. Es interesante porque las historias, que son sólo de dos líneas, son micro relatos, pueden resultar familiares para cualquiera, son realistas, humorísticas y a veces oscuras.
