Short biography
He was born in Guayaquil (Ecuador) in 1969. He worked as an advertising reporter in Lima, a professional job he abandoned to work in literature. He moved to Spain in 1998, where he studied the Doctorate of Theory of Literature at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. His books of stories La luna nómada (1995, 1998, 2004) has been included in several Latin American and Spanish anthologies. Present day he leads the Program of Creative Writing at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. El libro flotante de Caytran Dölphin (2006) is his second novel, developed from a project of writing and genetic writing made with the collaboration of the digital artist Eugenio Tisselli.
