David Meurer received his Doctorate from York University in 2015 and is the recipient of a Dan David Prize Scholarship. He was a project manager and research associate in the New Media Collaboration Centre at York University where he worked on the ArtmobCMS project - a suite of custom Drupal modules for digital archiving, with a community-centred, dialogic approach to clearing and licensing orphan works. He also designed and managed the application development for Modern Theatre in Context: A Multimedia Chronology of Modern Drama. His research draws together theories of information society, network culture, electronic literature, media ecology and media archaeology, the sociology of cultural production, authorship, and intellectual property with a specific focus on networked and participatory digitalĀ narratives.
