Carla Pedret is an online journalist with more than a decade of experience in digital newsrooms. She currently works at Catalunya Ràdio leading the development of new formats and strategies to foster innovation in the newsroom. Previously, she worked as a reporter and special correspondent in the online news website 324.cat.
In 2015, Carla specialised in data journalism after finishing an MA at Birmingham City University. In 2016, she won a Gorkana Award with The Exodus Data Project, an investigation on asylum claims in the UK due to religious persecution. The project was also shortlisted in the Data Journalism Awards.
Carla is co-founder of Hacks/Hackers Barcelona and was part of the organising team in the first three editions of the Data Journalism and Open Data Conference in Spain.
