Short biography
Kim is currently an Assistant Professor of Emerging Media and Communication at the University of Texas at Dallas. Her research interests center on the ways digital culture affects negotiations of power and formation of identity, particularly for marginalized groups. She teaches classes on digital media theory, race/class/gender/sexuality in networked environments, viral media and maker movements, and wearable media.
